The Desert Gem

THE DESERT GEM is an annual speech tournament in the Coachella Valley, hosted by the local homeschool speech and debate club, Set Apart. For their first year they wanted a logo to promote the event and generate excitement. Students submitted name ideas and Desert Gem was unanimously chosen.

Multiple concepts were presented. Elements of two were combined to create a logo that expressed the heart of the club, and would represent them well in the speech and debate community.
